ifDesc¶

Used for building links based on interface descriptions. It is the second method after NRI that does not require access to the equipment.

Requirements¶

• get_interfaces
• Regular expressions are configured in Inventory -> Setup -> ifDesc Patterns
• Polling of ifDesc is enabled in the object profile Managed Object Profile
